| Hello there! Would someone help me to identify this jeton? All I can see on the obverse is the three crowns. A shield on the obverse is divided into four sections. Top right and bottom left sections contain the annulets (three rings); top left and bottom right – animal heads. I'd say the bottom one looks like a bear with open mouth. Weight: 0.9 g.

Hi! Doesn't seem to be french, anyway! The shield is ESCARRSE type, with Point entée. Here a multi-language heraldic place to help searching. Can you make something out of the legends, ( I don't). Sincerely yours. Philippe

Hi, du Goulet! Thanks for your input. I've learned that the legends on some medieval or post-medieval jetons were fake. it was a single character or a pair of characters repeated multiple times resulting something like "SSSSS" or "VIVIVIVI" all around the circle. Having that in mind, I focused on the coat of arms but I can't seem to find anything.

Hi! Correct for first part! Focused on the shield as well. Can you give the right size (diameter in mm.) From your pict we can think it is 24 mm. as 27mm. Usually Nurnberg are 27 and Tournai (Belgium) 24mm. The three annelets make me think the city of Macon (Burgundy - france) coat of arms. https://www.geneanet.org/gallery/?action=detail&rubrique=blasons&id=6604472&desc=de_macon_blason I hardly see an animal head. I'd thought a rampant lion to left or so.

Unfortunately, I don't have a jeton, only photos. How about the weight of Nurnberg and Tournai jetons – was it equal? As for the image, please take a look.
